Biography

Born and raised in Pasadena, TX, Dr. Ferrill attended Sam Rayburn High School. She earned her Biology degree at Baylor University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While a student, she joined the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta where she served as Homecoming Float Chairman and Editor.

After graduation, Dr. Ferrill moved to Dallas to become part of a research team at UT Southwestern. They investigated the link between Human Papilloma Virus and Cervical Cancer. The quality of the education offered and the availability of four Nobel Prize winners on staff led her to continue her medical education there. During her rotations, she discovered her affinity for families and for providing care throughout the generations. Dr. Ferrill’s Family Practice Residency was completed in Fayetteville, AR at a program that provided a community-based approach to education.

Family ties called her back to the Houston area, and she has been in private practice in West Houston since 2001. She's been at her current location since 2005. Practicing in her own community is important to Dr. Ferrill as this is where her children attended school, where her family goes to church – where they live.
