How to Avoid Getting Sick

What to Do if you are Sick or Test Positive for COVID-19

The staff of Family Medical Center at Cinco Ranch is diligently monitoring the status of COVID-19 in our community.  We ask your patience as we do our best to take care of your medical needs and also keep you safe.

In order to preserve our personal protective equipment and to keep our facility safe for well patients during the pandemic, all sick visits will be conducted via TeleMedicine.  The provider will then determine if an in-person appointment is appropriate.  Please review the office policy on TeleHealth and also check your insurance benefits.

All individuals are screened and temperature taken prior to entering the clinic.  When you are in the clinic, you are required to wear a mask in accordance with Texas State Medical Board mandate .   If you cannot wear a mask, if you have an elevated temperature or if you have any symptoms of, risk factors for or exposure to COVID-19, we ask that you allow us to use TeleHealth to take care of you until the risk period has passed.

To allow for social distancing, only the patient should enter the clinic during treatment time.  Minors should be accompanied by one parent/guardian.  You may be asked to wait in your car to reduce your time in the waiting area.

The clinic is testing for COVID-19 based on availability of swabs.  If you need to be tested, schedule a TeleHealth appointment to discuss it with Dr. Ferrill or Kim Hamilton, PA-C who will determine the correct type of test for you. Patients requiring swabs for COVID-19 will drive to the back of the clinic at a set time.  A staff member in protective gear will meet them outside to perform the swab while the patient is in their car.
